Who and where: Dudley and Beth McCarter of Creve Coeur on a cruise along the Danube River.
The trip: They traveled the river from Budapest to Vienna and Salzburg. The last day they were supposed to go into Germany, but after two full days of rain the river was too high for the boat to get under the bridges so they didn’t get there. Every day there were several sightseeing trips to choose from.
Travel tip: Take a bike ride through the wine district along the river. The scenery is breathtaking.
