ST. LOUIS — Prosecutors on Sunday charged a 46-year-old man with killing another man in the city's College Hill neighborhood.
Jemell Johnson, of St. Louis County, is facing charges of first-degree murder and armed criminal action in the death of 22-year-old Anthony Conner on April 29.Â
Police say Conner's body was found behind a vacant home in the 1900 block of East Obear — just north of the Corinthian column Grand Avenue Water Tower.
Surveillance cameras captured Johnson's car near the scene of the shooting at the time of Conner's death, charges say. Cell phone tracking data also showed him near the scene, police say.
Johnson was ordered to be held without bond.Â
